Inspiration

I experienced first hand trying to look for scholarships and opportunities and filtering them out, Keeping track of deadlines and application requirements. so i hoped for a way to make it easier

What it does

The sample is supposed to show the clanging page with sample scholarships. And the form used to insert new ones.

but the project is supposed to be a huge expandable library of opportunities and scholarships.

Categories and filters that make the searching process easier.

A user profile that allows for customization and saving and tracking of scholarships.

How we built it

I have built it using html, css, Js, and python flask with sqllite for backend.

Challenges we ran into

-I only have previous knowledge of html, intermediate css, python but none of the libraries and frameworks for backend and data bases. -The backend part of it broke down and wasn't working at all. Debugging it seems impossible considering the time limitation.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

learned a lot of new things in a short amount of time.

What I learned

It was a great learning opportunity and I found myself learning so much about JavaScript, flask, python libraries, websites and hosting, using github. And most importantly the frame of thoughts to plan a project from conception to launch. I've learned most importantly that perhaps tackling such project one part at a time is a better plan (for example focusing on the frontend and having to learn about JavaScript only). But it all comes down to time management and forward thinking so it is really a lot of lessons in all aspects of development.
