Inspiration
While many know that FGLI students often have financial burdens, they don’t realize that with some shared knowledge, the burdens can become a little less heavier.
What it does
In addition to a list of scholarships with categories and a search bar, we have a free mentor-mentee matching service specifically for FGLI students. In addition, we have a quiz that allows students to find their top 3 categories and match with mentors, making the education process easier. Finally, we have a notes widget on the home screen that allows students to keep track of ideas for essays, or use it as a to-do list.

Challenges we ran into
We wanted to implement an AI bot that helped students write scholarship essays using a GPT API key but within the time constraints, we weren’t able to test the bot and implement it.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Interactive elements such as pop-up windows, search bars, and quizzes.

Learned more about APIs & AI, even though we didn’t get to implement it
What's next for Scholarship Pathway
Create an AI Chatbot. Create a forums page for advice and questions. Create a login so each user can have individualized access.
