Inspiration

I was inspired to make Scholarly because of the current situation and the amount of students going to school virtually. For me, online school tends to make me less productive because of all the distractions and no one to study with. Scholarly makes completing assignments easy and fun, and provides you with extra ideas, opportunities, and classes to take part in virtually!

What it does

Scholarly is a productivity and education tool. It provides tips, tricks, and tools for studying. It also has a workspace for students to plan out their schedules and write down their assignments, tests, and deadlines. Scholarly includes tons of opportunities for students posted right as they are released.

How I built it

I initially built this website using Glitch, and then imported it into GitHub. I used HTML and CSS, and I used Canva for many of the graphics embedded into the website.

Challenges I ran into

This is one of the first multi-page websites I'm building, so I had a little trouble linking the pages together. Also, when I imported the website into a GitHub repository, the CSS wasn't working, but a mentor helped me with that in the Discord!

## Accomplishments that I'm proud of I'm proud that I made a (partly) functional website in about 24 hours! I'm also proud of the graphics in my website; I love design, so the appearance was something that I put a lot of effort into :)

What I learned

I learned a lot about HTML and CSS when I was building Scholarly. I also learned about working efficiently and managing my time because I wasn't sure if I would be able to finish my project and make a pitch in time.

What's next for Scholarly

If you look at the website, you'll see that many of the pages are under construction, so I'm planning to update those with real information! I also want to make social media accounts for Scholarly to share it with the public. I intend to make more pages such as a workspace for students, and a page for resources for different classes and subjects.
