We aim to help students struggling with school by providing blog posts that answer their questions about topics and study rooms that they can use to work with other students and stay focused!

Inspiration

Our team members have run into a ton of struggles with school this year due to COVID, and we realized that if we had access to a website like Scholarly Learn Together where we could get explanations for subjects we were struggling with at school, study rooms where we could work with other students, and opportunities that we could use to further our interests in our free time, our experience with school would have been so much better!

What it does

Our website provides blog posts that answer any questions students may have about a subject, study rooms on Zoom and Google Meets where students can relax or work with other students from around the world, and a page providing information for various virtual opportunities in different fields of interest so that students can be involved with their interests while still staying at home.

How we built it

We built this website using Glitch and the programming languages HTML and CSS.

Challenges we ran into

Because none of us had ever programmed in HTML before, this project was challenging for all of us. In addition, we faced many challenges with communicating and working together as a team, so we truly learned how valuable communication is when it comes to group projects like these.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

All of the challenges that we ran into while working on this project made us proud of everything we were able to accomplish. We're so beyond excited that we were able to make our first website, which was truly a labor of love, and bring our vision for the website to life!

What we learned

After completing this project, we all walked away from this project having learned so much about not only programming, but also teamwork. We couldn't be more grateful for all the life lesson that we have learned!

What's next for Scholarly Learning Together

As for Scholarly Learning Together's future, we think that it would be awesome if we could expand on the website by adding some finishing touches, adding some new features like a YouTube channel and social media, and adding a login feature for extra security.
