Inspiration
We wanted to come up with a nice and simple website to be able to support people with financial need.
What it does
The website can calculate whether a user is eligible for each scholarship in a list by entering some basic information such as birthdate and their current school.
How we built it
We first planned and created the website's skeleton to map out the layout and flow of the web experience. Then, we translated the design into code and created functionality for page transitions and eligibility factoring. The website was also continuously tested throughout development.
Challenges we ran into
There was an issue in getting the content including images and buttons to blend well with every user's screen size. Fortunately, with continuous testing and precision, we were able to succeed.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are really glad to complete the project while remembering familiar tools like JQuery.
What we learned
Tools including Figma, WordPress, and Wix can expedite the website development process a bunch without adding in extra complexity.
What's next for ScholarFind
ScholarFind can be updated to have more scholarships and seamless animations to improve the average user experience.
