Inspiration
This idea was drawn to me because of an experience I had those days in school when I traveled home and missed my academic activities due to some security challenges, so I decided to build this application for so many people who could also be in a similar situation.
What it does
Starting from the name Scholar, which entails that it is basically for students, and the Sticker, which means students can trust or rely on the AI assistant, it is just here to help students who missed classes with their area of concentration and assignment using a specific format that includes the course code, the week number, and the day of the week, for example: com101 week1 Tuesday.
How we built it
Scholar Sticker was built solely with AWS PartyRock which is an Amazon Bedrock, by creating models, linking the prompts to its AI-generated chatbot, and training the chatbot with a particular method of responding.
Challenges we ran into
Training the chatbot with the models is the most difficult aspect of the project; making sure it responds in a particular manner was really challenging.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Building an AI assistant which is capable of providing correct information about a missed class using their course code week number and days for Computer Science first-year students.
What we learned
How to use AWS PartyRock and how to create an AI chatbot with no code
What's next for Scholar Sticker
To be integrated into different school systems for same or similar purposes.
