I've always been interested in finances and stocks, but I realized that many college students struggle with budgeting and investing early on. I wanted to create a solution that makes financial literacy simple, accessible, and actionable for students like me.
I developed "Scholar Savings" as a Blazor web application, focusing on a clean and intuitive UI. The app features a Budget Coach to help students track expenses, as well as investment insights to introduce them to long-term financial growth. I followed a consistent color scheme and interactive UI elements to make the experience engaging and user-friendly.
Throughout this project, I deepened my understanding of front-end design, Blazor development, and user experience principles. I also learned how to present financial data in a digestible way to make personal finance less intimidating for students.
One of the biggest challenges was making financial concepts approachable while ensuring the UI was both functional and visually appealing. I also had to find a balance between simplicity and feature richness, ensuring the app was useful without overwhelming users.
Ultimately, this project reflects my passion for finance and technology—helping students take control of their money and build a financially secure future.
