Inspiration
Future admissions is a major problem for every hs student. You never know if you're good enough to get accepted, you never know if you wrote a good essay or not and the same question appears with every aspect of college application. Usually, one would pay a huge amount of money to the admissions councelor to find the answers to those question, however, their services tend to cost a fortune. Therefore we created ScholarOS, which identifies strengths and weaknesses of your application and so creates a few recommendations. To help students improve their grades at school, we added smart notes feature to learn more efficiently and to-do lists along with the student calendar to stay disciplined.
What it does
Evaluates college applications, enhances your notes and creates active recall questions, to do list and a student calendar to stay disciplined.
How we built it
With enthusiasm and hunger for the first place!
Challenges we ran into
We could not find a way to deploy ollama to the free severs of pythonanywhere
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Everything went according to plan Every planned feature has been implemented
What we learned
Choose your framework wisely, so they wont conflict with each other. Think about the deployment in advance. Use every second of the time left until deadline.
What's next for Scholar OS
Providing that we receive some funding, we either create our own AI model or switch to the better one. Afterwards, we will surely deploy our project to the world web and in order to gain visibility, I think investing into advertising would be a great choice.
