Inspiration
At this time two years ago, a group of buddies and I made Schedulio for CutieHack 2019. It was a bare-minimum prototype of a group scheduling system (similar to When2Meet) intended for more advanced functionality. As most hackathon teams go, we vowed to revive the project, but never did. So I figured I would take advantage of the opportunity to work on the project. I AM NOT LOOKING TO WIN ANY PRIZES!! I was mostly here to learn, have fun, attend the (awesome) workshops, and work on an abandoned project. Shout-out to the ShellHacks organizers for the excellent event.
What I did
The original Schedulio used a Python (Flask) backend and had barely-functional UI code. I gutted the backend and learned/created an equivalent Golang system, as well as fixing many of the UI bugs. While the UI does not look any different than the original, the backend is far more resilient. Mostly this was an experience for me to learn Golang, which I have heard great things about but never really used. Thanks for the opportunity and great event!
Video
Whatever video I could make showing my work would be quite boring, so instead I linked a video of some quality vines.
