💡 Inspiration Schedaddle was born in the middle of real-life chaos.

My wife and I have three amazing kids. But managing their extracurricular lives feels like running a complex startup — except without the tools, funding, or team. Our eldest swims competitively — six days a week, 45 minutes away. That alone is a 4–5 hour daily time block for one child. Our daughter plays ringette, swims, and has tutoring. Our youngest swims and plays seasonal sports like soccer and rugby.

Each club uses a different system — apps, calendars, group chats, email threads. We track payments, sign up for volunteer shifts, and juggle schedules across platforms that don’t speak to each other.

We’re not disorganized — we’re overwhelmed. And so are thousands of other parents we’ve spoken to.

The system wasn’t built for families. It was built for clubs. Parents were left behind.

Schedaddle is our answer — not just to a pain point, but to a shared cry for help from millions of families quietly holding it all together.

📱 What It Does Schedaddle is a family-first app that unifies the chaos of managing multiple children in extracurricular sports and activities.

It integrates with the tools clubs already use — not replacing them, but completing them — and delivers one calm, smart, coordinated view of your family’s life.

Key features:

One unified calendar for all your kids' activities

Custom reminders for payments, practices, volunteer shifts, and updates

Smart inbox that pulls messages from different platforms into one place

Personalized profiles for each child

Designed to reduce cognitive overload and restore parental peace of mind

Clubs stay organized. Parents stay sane. Everyone wins.

🚧 How We're Starting to Build It As a non-technical founder who has built multiple businesses, I’m beginning with a clear vision, real-life urgency, and strong customer insight.

For this hackathon:

I'm using Bolt.new to prototype the MVP

Designing key user flows for multi-child households

Focusing on a clean, emotionally resonant UX

Mocking potential integration points with popular club systems

Continuing parent interviews to deepen validation

This is a problem-first, empathy-driven build. We’re laying the foundation with user trust and simplicity at the core.

🔍 Challenges We Anticipate Though we’re in early development, we’re preparing for key challenges ahead:

Club integration hurdles: Most platforms don’t offer open APIs. We’ll need creative solutions and partnership strategies.

Data fragmentation: Information lives in too many places — syncing it without overwhelming users is key.

Non-technical execution: I’ll need to find the right developers to bring the full version of Schedaddle to life.

Earning user trust: Families will entrust us with sensitive information — privacy, clarity, and transparency are non-negotiables.

Staying focused: We must solve the core pain without being tempted to build too much, too soon.

🏆 Accomplishments That We're Proud Of Built from lived pain: We’re solving the very chaos we live through as parents every day.

Clear customer validation: Dozens of Canadian families have confirmed both the urgency and willingness to pay.

Market-ready vision: Starting in Canada with 860,000+ potential families, with an addressable global market of 10M+ across high-income countries.

Clarity of mission: We know who we’re serving — and we’re building with compassion, not complexity.

📚 What We Learned The best ideas come from lived experience — not brainstorming sessions.

Empathy is a competitive advantage when building for overwhelmed families.

Parents don’t want bells and whistles — they want fewer tabs open, fewer things forgotten, and more moments that matter.

Even non-technical founders can lead tech solutions — with focus, grit, and clarity.

🚀 What’s Next for Schedaddle Complete the MVP prototype in Bolt

Onboard 10–15 pilot families for early feedback

Formalize API and partnership conversations with sports platforms

Launch a paid beta in Canada — our beachhead market

Expand the feature set with:

Volunteer shift tracking

Payment and registration nudges

School calendar integration

Lay the groundwork for expanding into 10+ global markets where families are facing the same fragmentation

We’re not here to add another app. We’re here to give parents back their peace of mind — and their presence.
