Inspiration
In a group chat: A: Hey wanna do lunch? B: Okay C: sure D: Sounds good! E: k ... A: How about at 1:00 pm Wednesday? B: sure C: I'm free D: nah E: can't do Wednesday ... A: When are you guys free? B: Tuesdays and Thursdays work for me, but not from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm C: Wednesdays only, but all day, and also anytime that's not Wednesday D: I'm free pretty much whenever E: when are you free?
and so on! How frustrating!
What it does
It makes scheduling a meetup between multiple people, like lunch, really super easy and not a hassle at all. And it tells you where!
How we built it
Challenges we ran into
Learning how to code and develop for mobile platforms in Xcode and Swift and a bit of Android How to differentiate ourselves from existing "easy scheduling" apps, how to be easier to use than them Developing for two different platforms simultaneously, Android and iOS
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Location, auto-zooming in Google Maps Straightforward, streamline, very simple design
What we learned
Demo-oriented programming, Google Maps API, Xcode, and Swift
What's next for Sched n Me
Databases, remote connections, better interfaces, cooler, more "gamified" look
