Inspiration

Looking out the window of the 6th floor of E5, we saw some nice views.

What it does

By taking a picture of what's around you, whether that's a room, or a landscape, the app uses image recognition to find Spotify playlists that fit the environment around you.

How we built it

We trained a custom model using Tensorflow to recognize a variety of images and classify them into various genres and "moods".

Challenges we ran into

Using various technologies and trying to combine them together into a functional application.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Applying machine learning in a project.

What we learned

In the future we should try to connect our pieces of code sooner. Throughout the Hackathon, we wrote separate code and they were connected late into the project. This resulted in staying up late to resolve issues and a lot of unused code.
