Inspiration

We were inspired by the capabilities of the Leap Motion device and combined them with our memory of our first "VR" game: Wii Bowling.

What it is

Have you ever wanted to punch a bowling ball at 30 meters per second? Have you ever wanted to play a bowling game with no rules and an inability to pick up the ball? Regardless, now you can!

How we built it

We built a complete environment with Unity and wrote scripts in C# and Javascript to interact with it using the Leap Motion device as a user interface.

Challenges we ran into

Internet issues for the first 24 hours were a significant challenge, but I think managed to pull through. We also had issues with Unity's physics engines, but clever thinking and analysis overcame this.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We've created a game that we enjoy playing, and we hope you can, too.

What we learned

How to troubleshoot internet connectivity issues and how to use Unity

What's next for Scarlet Bowling

Scarlet basketball, and more.
