Inspiration

Inspired by absurdism, PTSD in the postmodern era, and in anticipation of the posthuman, ScareWave is trickledown psyops, general benevolence, and healing through trauma.

What it does

The ScareWave is composed of interlocking elements. A participant sits at the computer and is instructed to relax while wearing a Neurosky MindWave headset. Once thoroughly relaxed, the participant is bombarded by a mobile disembodied clown head with various recycled accouterments and evokes a startle response. Recording of Facial Recognition and Brain Wave Comparison. Using Indicio’s (*) systems, a database for automated emotive recognition patterns could be acquired.
