ScanDerm — Intelligent Skin Disease Detection

The main goal of ScanDerm is to create a reliable, user-friendly application that uses deep learning and computer vision to classify common skin conditions (e.g., acne, eczema, psoriasis, benign moles, and suspicious lesions such as melanoma). By allowing users to upload a photo of the affected area, ScanDerm returns the most likely diagnosis with confidence scores and practical next-step recommendations. The system is intended as a screening and awareness tool — not a replacement for professional medical advice — to improve early detection, reduce unnecessary clinic visits, and increase access to dermatology in underserved areas.
