The problem

USD109 billion annual credit unmet because cash-based informal economy is invisible to banks, leaving 90% of SMEs and mSMEs without access to capital.

The solution

Scan OS automates complex accounting and tax reporting as well as other back office functions to provide financial transparency required for access to bank credit.

How we built it

We used ChatGPT to prepare all documentations on the features that we want to build. (Nik to share technical)

Challenges we ran into

We didn't have much of a challenge building this since we have very clear insight into the features that we chose to build since were are ourselves small business owners-operators.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We actually surprised ourselves with how many features that we were able to add in such a short period of time.

What did you learn

We learned that the most comprehensive we prepared with proper product walkthrough and documentation, the easier it is to build.

What's next for Scan OS

We will deploy a local open-source Scan Cashier model to save API costs, reduce latency and provide offline continuity. As sales data volume increase, we will provide real-time intelligence for store owners to optimize SKU and inventory management.
