In an era where scammers are leveraging increasingly sophisticated techniques, including AI-powered voice emulation, it's crucial to arm ourselves with awareness and protection. Sadly, many in the senior population remain unaware of the severity and intricacies of these scams.

What it does - Empowering Safety with AI

ScamShield is an AI-powered agent that empowers users to identify and avoid scams. It provides personalized guidance to help users stay safe online and offline. ScamShield allows users to describe their situation to determine if they may be the target of an active scam.

How we built it - Crafting the Shield

Harnessing the capabilities of Google Cloud Agent Builder, we meticulously crafted ScamShield to serve as a robust defense against fraudulent activities.

Challenges we ran into - Overcame Hurdles

We had trouble figuring out the best region to create resources in. We found out that Agent Builder data stores can only set in us (mutiple regions) instead of us-central1. Despite this, we persevered, utilizing our expertise to navigate through complexities.

Accomplishments that we're proud of - Proud Milestones

We built a fully-functional agent that will help at-risk people identify if they are the target of a scam.

We learned how to build an agent in Agent Builder and how to ground it to our curated data. The journey of building ScamShield has been enlightening, providing us with invaluable insights into agent construction and data integration.
