Inspiration
As a student, I wanted to build something that could make everyday studying simpler. Students often need to plan their study time, practice questions, find useful tips, and revise notes separately. I wanted to bring these basic needs into one easy-to-use platform.
What it does
AI Study Assistant is a student-focused learning platform with four core features:
- 📚 Study Planner – helps students organize their study sessions.
- 🧠 Quiz – lets students test their understanding.
- 💡 Study Tips – provides simple and practical learning suggestions.
- 📝 Quick Notes – makes revision faster and easier.
Together, these features create a simple space where students can plan, practice, learn, and revise.
How we built it
I built the project using Python and Streamlit. I developed the features step by step, tested them, fixed errors, and improved the interface along the way. I used GitHub to manage the project and deployed the application using Streamlit.
Challenges we ran into
The biggest challenge was turning the idea into a working application while learning new tools at the same time. Debugging errors and making sure all four features worked smoothly together required a lot of testing and patience.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I am proud that I took a simple idea and turned it into a working application that students can actually use. Completing the features, debugging the application, managing it through GitHub, and successfully deploying it were important milestones for me.
What we learned
This project taught me more than just Python and Streamlit. I learned how to break a problem into smaller features, debug patiently, test continuously, and improve an idea through development. Most importantly, I learned that a useful project starts with understanding a real problem.
What's Next
The next goal is to make AI Study Assistant more personalized with AI-powered Q&A, personalized study plans, more quizzes, progress tracking, and smarter revision support. I want to grow it from a simple study tool into a more complete learning companion for students.
