Inspiration
In today's digital age, online scams and phishing links are growing rapidly, often targeting everyday users. Our inspiration came from wanting to build an intelligent, proactive shield using artificial intelligence to instantly detect threats.
What it does
ScamGuard AI analyzes messages, URLs, and communication patterns in real-time to flag potential scams and phishing attempts before they harm the user, featuring a clean and intuitive interface.
How we built it
We built the application using Flutter for cross-platform frontend support and Python (with Streamlit and FastAPI) for the backend AI processing and threat detection logic.
Challenges we ran into
Integrating the real-time AI threat analysis with a smooth user interface and structuring a multi-platform codebase under a tight timeline were our biggest hurdles.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Successfully setting up a robust repository structure with complete backend and frontend code architecture ready for real-world deployment.
What we learned
We gained deeper insights into building cross-platform security architectures, handling asynchronous threat detection, and streamlining collaborative hackathon workflows.
What's next for ScamGuard AI
We plan to fully integrate the frontend and backend services, expand the AI model's threat database, and launch public beta testing for everyday users.
