🔥 Inspiration

I was personally scammed online. That experience showed me how easy it is for anyone to fall victim to digital fraud—and how limited awareness and tools are in Bangladesh. Instead of staying silent, I decided to turn that mistake into a solution that can protect others.

Scam Alert BD is a multi-purpose scam awareness and detection platform where users can:

📊 Participate in surveys to help identify new scam patterns

📖 Read real scam stories shared by victims

📢 Share experiences to warn and educate others

The goal is simple: detect scams early and spread awareness fast.

Backend: Django

Frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript

Database: SQLite

Core Logic: Rule-based scam detection + risk scoring

Integrations: Messaging platform support (Messenger & WhatsApp concept)

The system is designed to be lightweight, fast, and scalable for real-world use.
