Inspiration

The sBTC ecosystem is growing rapidly, but users lack intuitive tools to visualize their performance and maximize rewards. We saw an opportunity to transform complex blockchain data into actionable insights while making DeFi more engaging through gamification. By helping users understand their staking efficiency, we aim to increase participation in the sBTC ecosystem and improve overall user experience.

What it does

sBTC Pulse is an interactive analytics and monitoring dashboard that:

Provides a personal dashboard tracking locked sBTC amounts, rewards, and transaction history
Calculates a proprietary "Health Score" that evaluates staking efficiency with actionable improvement tips
Features a gamified leaderboard where users compete based on rewards and activity
Displays ecosystem-wide insights through intuitive visualizations
Delivers smart alerts when user-defined conditions are met

How we built it

We created a fully decentralized application using:

Next.js and TailwindCSS for a responsive, mobile-first frontend
Chart.js/Recharts for data visualization components
Stacks API integration to fetch real-time blockchain data
Client-side computation to calculate health scores and metrics
Optional on-chain storage for aliases and leaderboard data via Clarity contracts
Browser-based notifications without requiring backend infrastructure

Challenges we ran into

Ensuring accurate calculation of health scores with limited blockchain data
Creating an engaging UI that simplifies complex DeFi concepts
Implementing a decentralized leaderboard system without compromising user privacy
Optimizing performance when fetching and processing large amounts of on-chain data
Designing a system that works entirely client-side without sacrificing functionality
