Inspiration
As beginners that are relatively new to Hackathons, we wanted to challenge the idea of goals rather than challenge our minds with creativity for the time being. NeuralSeek provided us challenges that we were able to tackle instead of tracks that we had to compete for.
What it does
Each component is a separate challenge presented by NeuralSeek. One is dedicated to the preparations for a Podcast while another is designed to make LinkedIn posts after a sales call is transcribed.
How we built it
We decided to use Typescript due to our lack of experience with the coding language and used React to develop the front end in order to make a visible product.
Challenges we ran into
A large amount of time was used trying to think of an idea for the hackathon which we ended up dropping for the challenges. During the developmental phase, it took a large amount of time to understand how the API worked, especially since we wanted to utilize NeuralSeek with the limited access we had. Timing and responsibilities were another issue we had to overcome.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
As participants new to Hackathons, this was not only a learning experience, but also a commitment that was largely unexpected. With the limited time and experience we had, we are proud to have a product we are able to present, even if some of the components are either incomplete or bugged.
What we learned
We learned the hard way of the importance of time-management. Hackathons are a commitment to yourself and your team.
What's next for SBH-NeuralSeek Challenge(s)
Unfortunately the NeuralSeek access is limited, but it is still possible to complete the challenges presented to us without the usage of their API's. Since we had one challenge completed, the other challenges can still be done.
