Inspiration

Between sets your hands are busy and typing into a logging app breaks your rhythm. We wanted to just say what we did and have it written down.

What it does

SayLift is an iPhone workout tracker and calorie counter you run by voice. Tap the mic and say "bench press, 3 sets of 8 at 135": it records the exercise, sets, reps and weight, and you review each set before saving. Since version 4.5 it also tracks food. Describe a meal, snap a photo of your plate, scan a barcode or type a few words, and it lists calories, protein, carbs and fat. Your day sits on one timeline with a calorie ring, macros and meals beside your workouts.

  • AI coach that reviews each session and suggests numbers for next time
  • Progressive-overload engine that proposes your next working weight from your own history
  • 873 exercises with photos and instructions, working offline
  • Paste-in routine import from any text plan
  • Home and Lock Screen widgets that start a workout or meal log in one tap
  • No account needed to start

How we built it

A native iOS app in Swift and SwiftUI, with OpenAI models handling speech-to-log parsing, meal estimation from text and photos, and the coach.

What's next

More coaching insights and deeper nutrition tracking.
