Say Yes to Success

Inspiration

Our inspiration for this project was job sites and social media that allowed students and alumni to connect with other students/mentors and find jobs separately. We sought out to combine these two aspects into a single website that can be used for both.

What it does

Our project is an internal job site that allows Say Yes Alumni to find job listings, connect and talk with other alumni/mentors, and enter information such as resumes and social media for employers to see. Since all this is done internally via the website, Say Yes Buffalo can track and see the number of Say Yes Alumni using their site and finding jobs as well as direct reporting from companies.

How we built it

We built our project via Wix.com for creating the website prototype as well as Canva for the prototype of the survey prototype.

Challenges we ran into

A challenge we ran into was in the beginning with coming up with an idea because at first, we kept thinking of a survey to track the number of Say Yes Alumni who obtained gainful employment from connecting with an employer. However, we wanted to go beyond this and find an innovative solution to this problem.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Everything! We are proud of the unique idea we produced and how we were able to create a prototype of that idea as a team.

What we learned

We learned more about the process of prototyping as well as what goes into a good job listing site.
