Inspiration

I wanted to capture the feeling of going to Burningman. This is for people who have been before and those curious about the experience. I imagined that I was given a tight budget to make a promo for Burningman so I had to enlist my friends to help with props and costumes. I asked my fire dancers if I could film them. I put a drone in front of my friend’s bikes wearing our costumes and head dresses.

Trying to capture the joy of being in the desert with your friends, the wind in your hair, the sun setting or the sun raising – the feeling of community, of oneness and connectedness.

I tried to capture the summer vibe, the dust, the lights staying up all night. For people who have experienced Burningman it can all seem like a blur afterwards, like life captured in these little snap shots and vignettes of the actual lived experience. So, I hope I captured this fragmented memory concept of a life on over load for a brief time in the desert with your friends under the sun dancing.

I invented a new language for the song, there are only a few few english words otherwise I went for a vibe a sound.
