Millennials today are more connected than any time in the past. They like, tweet, pin, up-vote and comment on everything. Banking on the other-hand has become more and more private. The words security and personal are attached to it. What if banking was more social.
I was inspired by a traditional method of saving called "Iqqub" in Ethiopia. Iqqub gives all those involved a source for finance without taking high interest loans by utilizing the social connections they have built through out their lives.
Target users are millennials ages with estimated ages of 18 - 30. Key features are that its pulling your friends from Facebook, connect with your bank account through Capital One's Level API, creating pools and storing them on Parse and Notifying users when they're added to a pool through Nexmo.
Let’s disrupt banking. Let's make it social.
