During weddings, family gatherings, and various celebrations, we couldn't help but notice the alarming amount of food being wasted. Perfectly good, edible food was either left untouched or discarded due to poor planning or simply because it was easier to throw it away. This waste was starkly contrasted by our own experiences during our college days when many of us struggled to afford decent meals and often sought out the most affordable food options just to get by.

These two realities—on one hand, the surplus of food being wasted at events, and on the other hand, people who need food—began to weigh on us. Why should perfectly good food go to waste when there are people who could benefit from it? This question sparked a simple but powerful idea: what if we could create a platform that bridges the gap between surplus food and those in need?

Thus, the concept of our food redistribution app was born. It’s designed to connect event organizers or food vendors (who have excess food) with distributors who can efficiently deliver it to communities or individuals facing food insecurity. Through this platform, we aim to reduce food waste while simultaneously addressing hunger. By leveraging modern technology, we’re able to match food supply with demand in a seamless, real-time manner, creating a win-win situation for both the environment and society.

What started as a small observation during our college days has now evolved into a full-fledged solution with the potential to create real social impact. Our journey from students searching for affordable meals to innovators tackling food waste is a testament to how a simple idea, when nurtured, can transform into something that benefits the greater community.
