Inspiration

Savora AI was inspired by a simple everyday problem: finding ingredients in a cluttered kitchen, remembering where items are stored, and deciding what to cook with the ingredients available. We envisioned a smarter kitchen where AI does more than suggest recipes—it understands the kitchen, helps users locate items, manages ingredient information, and simplifies meal planning.

What it does

Our solution brings these capabilities together through an intelligent kitchen assistant. The goal is to build a system that can remember item locations, identify available ingredients, recommend meals based on user preferences and available resources, and help reduce food waste by prioritizing ingredients that need to be used sooner.

How we built it

We designed Savora AI as an intelligent kitchen assistant combining AI-powered interaction, digital inventory management, image-based ingredient recognition, and personalized meal recommendations. The system aims to help users locate kitchen items, plan meals using available ingredients, and reduce food waste through smarter kitchen management.

Challenges we ran into

One of our key challenges was turning separate kitchen tasks into a unified assistant that could provide useful, context-aware responses. Maintaining accurate inventory information, handling uncertain ingredient identification, and creating relevant recommendations are important challenges we aim to address through continuous improvement.

We transformed an everyday kitchen problem into Savora AI, an innovative concept for intelligent kitchen management. We're proud of combining AI-powered ingredient recognition, item-location tracking, personalized meal recommendations, and food-waste reduction into one unified vision. We aim to integrate it with smart kitchen devices, improve expiry tracking to reduce food waste, and create a seamless, proactive kitchen assistant that makes everyday cooking smarter and easier.
