INTRODUCTION
We are FireDrone and we’re here to reduce the loss of lives of firefighters through the use of UAV for life-threatening situations
PROBLEM:
- Collecting data through hazardous conditions and communication
- Slow and time consuming to upload and to keep the blue prints uploaded
- Not real time data feed
- Limited visibility
- How accurate is a 20 year old blueprint?
- Is the data standard the same for the blueprints?
- Expensive to fit every house with a smart zap smoke detector; only need a few drones needed
- Human eyes cannot see through smoke; FireDrones can thanks to LITO technology
- Human eyes cannot see heat sources (infrared); FireDrones can thanks to infrared cameras
ADVANTAGES
- Reduce threat to fire fighters lives
- Faster intelligence collection
- Real-time data collection
- View the incident in real time remotely and safely
SOLUTION
- Use drones to fly into dangerous situations
- Drones using LITO technology can see through the smoke to survey the scene correctly,
- Drones are flown by the firefighters and the data is collected and when combined with machine learning leads to the drones becoming more autonomous
- Can see through walls to identify rescue targets
PRODUCT: Modified drone
- Has LITO camera fitted to it
- Firefighter uses google glasses to see using the drones eyes which can see through smoke and can see where the fire ‘hotspots’ are thanks to infrared
- Reduces the likelihood of a firefighter being killed, if the drone is crushed it can be replaced
- Has wifi connection built into it or internet connection
- Drone is fed the 3D data ahead of time to speed up the model generation
