Inspiration
In the future there will be many advances in medicine, technology, manufacturing, and a lot of other areas you could think of.
This lead me to the question of what value could I bring to the scientist who will send me to there?
I came up with trying to save humanity in regards to the technological dependences we already see in our every day lives!
How to save humanity
To save humanity I would persuade our future society to decrease their dependence on technology and reconnect to what makes us human.
What makes us human
In my opinion, I believe that the further we move towards technological dependence the further we will stray away from our natural humanistic tendencies.
Some humanistic tendencies include:
Social bonding
Mindfulness
Connection to nature
How technology will move us away from what makes us human
Technological dependence has cam with many advantages, but also many disadvantages.
Some of these disadvantages include decreases in:
Social bonding
Physical activity
Value of family and friends
Reconnecting to what makes us human
There are many things that people do to feel more "grounded" and in the moment. Such activities can be as simple as a walk in nature, meditation, meaningful communication with friends and family, and being emotionally intelligent.
Of course all of these activities should be done without the use of, and presence of, technology!
With this goal in mind, I know that my trip to the future would be worthwhile to not only the scientists who sent me there, but also society as a whole!
I look forward to presenting my presentation to yall and I hope that yall will take away something meaningful from it.
