It is annoying when melting ice-cream drips on your hand while eating it outdoors
What it does
it determines the time in which your ice-cream will melt
How we built it
I used weather api to get temperature at user's location and input ice-cream details from user to calculate time left to melt
Challenges we ran into
The data and statistics related to the melting time of certain amount of different types of ice-cream with respect to temperature is not available because such surveys and experiments aren't done yet. So, correct data isn't available.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Proud that I could come up with the idea and pretty much execute or give it some direction of approach
What we learned
I learned how to use the weather data using api
What's next for Save your Ice-Cream
The project isn't complete yet. It needs more survey to get the correct data. It needs styling and it also needs onchange function for different dropdowns. Also there can be an option to check how fast certain ice-cream melts at user inputted temperature value if they are consuming ice-cream in a temperature controlled room. Maybe by using some AI it can identify the ice-cream and it's required details to determine time, so that user will not have to enter the details of ice-cream manually.
