Inspiration 🌍
Every Year we lose a big part of forests because of Industrialization, deforestation and because of WildFires. Due to which a large number of wildlife animals lost their lives, Around 3 Billion animals and birds dies in Australia forest fire, and 2.3 Million animals and birds in amazon forest fires. and Forest fires are not just the reason we lost wildlife, explicit use of resources, deforestation, poaching is some other reasons that makes some animals and birds go extinct. The disappearance of 160 species has been declared by the IUCN over the last decade (2010-2019)
What it does 🐘
To let people know what is happening with our wildlife and how we are losing so many precious lives I have created a website that shows information about animals or birds that are going to extinct in the next 20 or more years. To help people spread awareness I have used Twilio API so that a user who visits can spread this message to anyone by entering his phone number, users don't have to copy or paste the link, they just need to enter their name and phone number.
How we built it ⚒
I build it using nodeJS, expressJS for backend elephant API to show some awesome elephants Twilio API to send SMS and spread awareness, and Bootstrap for frontend.
Challenges I ran into 😫
It was my first time using Twilio API, I had to go through the documentation and tutorial. For this time bootstrap was really a pain, I had to debug a lot to get expected results.
Accomplishments that I am proud of 😁
I always wanted to make such a website that can help animals and the environment, I did take a lot of time to come up with this idea, but I am glad that I made it working and it's looking beautiful now.
What I learned 📖
I learned more about the bootstrap carousel and learned to use Twilio API to send SMS.

I also tried to add Petfinder API this time but there was some problem with account activation, I will add this feature in the future.
