Users explore a breakdown of Greenhouse Gas production (by country and by energy source), and glimpse into potential futures where they control nations' energy policies. Their job: save the world.

Environmental consciousness and desire to increase urgency to act.

What it does

Allows users to create their own plans for countries to "save the world" by changing and reducing their energy consumption.

How we built it

Using Google Data Studio and Google Cloud to display extensively researched data, plus an embedded ground-up website.

Challenges we ran into

Navigating Data Studio API; collecting and synthesizing large amounts of data, typical web development issues.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Building an interactive site, finding good sources, analyzing data, creating our own website.

What we learned

We designed, and then implemented, and we learned how much time that saved. We also learned more about how long CSS takes! Also learned to plan around API constraints.

What's next for Save the World

Create a manual and an action plan for users before and after using they app. Ask them: How did this raise your consciousness of the state of our world?
