Inspiration
I was inspired by the classic memory card game I used to play as a child. I decided to go with a theme that gave visibility to one of my favorite non-profits: The Ocean Cleanup.
What it does
This is a 16 card game that tests the player's memory.
- There will be 8 matching pairs.
- The player begins by clicking a card, and that card flips over and remains flipped over until another card is clicked.
- Once the second card is clicked, if it matches the first card, both cards disappear and you get one point.
How we built it
This project was built using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Challenges we ran into
A challenge I ran into was getting the cards to find their match and to display both matching cards at one time.

What's next for Save the Ocean Memory Card Game
I plan on continuing to improve and update this game and add a feature that donates $1 to The Ocean CleanUp each time a player wins the game.
