Users make a profile on their interests, what they’re open to, and have them go to a variety of events that are being hosted. Get alerts for pop-ups, cute cafes, and park events + free museum tickets.

What it does

  • Basically like a “dating profile” where you say what you like and it generates places and events catered to you

How we built it

  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Electron, APIs

Challenges we ran into

  • ReactNative not working properly with HTML and CSS files, so switched to Electron
  • Merging conflicts(files got deleted)
  • How to implement APIs within our code(TicketMaster and Geoapify)

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • Connecting our API data to our frontend UI
  • Installing and properly running extensions and frameworks

What we learned

  • Setting up Node.js and Electron
  • Figuring out GitHub configurations and VSCode

What's next for Show-Up

  • Implementing more features:
  • More events (libraries, pop-up events)
  • More user preferences (alcohol-involved, weather conditions, noise)
