Inspiration
We wanted to address the basics of financial literacy. At the heart you have decision making. We wanted to cover this topic in a way that it would be accessible to a middle school student. Opportunity cost is a very important factor in all aspects of our lives, not just financial. By presenting this concept in an easy to grasp manner we hope anyone who engages with our game will leave better equip for financial decision making.
What it does
The game presents the player with scenarios where their decisions affect their money. Money in this instance is the score for the game. After each decision is made there is a prompted explanation that provides details about opportunity costs/trade offs and whether or not there is a best decision..

We are proud to have come up with an idea we all are happy to explore and work on outside our comfort zones.
What we learned
We learned to adapt and work as a team seeing we had last minute changes to our team.
What's next for
The next step it to take the game to the next level and create different game modes and a longer game to appeal to other age groups.
