Save Earth

Inspiration

We are emitting more carbon than it's produced by trees, so to minimise this gap we need to have a dedicated place for people to know about trees - their carbon production and a place to purchase it from.

What it does

It provides a platform for users to know about what tree species would be the best match for their local environment and how much carbon can it offset in contrast to what we produce

How I built it

I designed the API using NodeJS that list all the available species, add new specie, get specific specie, let the user login/sign up as well as persist the data in a centralised place, i.e. MongoDB

Challenges I ran into

for me, the challenge was that I has never made API for login and signup purposes, where I faced difficulty but overcome those challenges

What I learned

I learned that anything can be accomplished if we put our heads into it.

What's next for Save Earth

I plan on publishing it, after adding some more features to it, it will be solely for the good of _ Planet Earth _
