Hi! This is Saule! Saule understands that earth’s condition is very vulnerable. And something needs to be done in order to save our mutual home.

First of all, a little bit about Saule. Saule is a gender-neutral creature whose name translates from the Kazakh language as beam, light. It has a double meaning. Firstly, Saule helps people to make a contribution to solving climate change and “lights their way”, directs them. And secondly, Saule is an innovative creature and teaches users in a unique way. Saule represents teaching as games. So users can learn and have enjoyment from their communication with Saule.

Saule welcomes users every time they open the app. Saule navigates them and reports how many points users have at the moment.

There are several games in which users can play and educate simultaneously. For example, “Sort Waste” is a game where users have 4 bins with unsorted waste and 1 empty bin. Users have to sort all waste using 1 empty bin. This game develops users’ logical skills and also teaches them how to sort waste. The second game is about the labyrinth between Saule’s home and the Recycling Center. Users have to help Saule to arrive at her destination by navigating Saule’s and Saule’s bicycle’s movement. This game also positively influences users’ logical skills. The third game is about a wind turbine that provides Saule’s house with electrical energy, but wires got tangled. Users have to untangle them and help Saule to light Saule’s house. This game encourages players to use alternative energy sources in order to decrease emissions of greenhouse gases. In all of these games, users will see an eco-friendly lifestyle which can inspire them to live that lifestyle too.

Additionally, Saule gives the opportunity for users to make a donation to eco funds and also see the map with marked recycling centers. Users can also add friends to the app and compete with them with scores.

In our app users can educate themselves, have fun and make contributions to the solution of climate change. Time for nature!

Our programmer - Saya, had experience in developing, but the simplest applications. In those two days, she learned how to use databases. Aruzhan did her first design on Figma. This is our first joint project.

We plan to develop Saule further! We plan to add QR Scanner function, QR Generation function, write a code for 2 other games and also learn how to make a donation system in the app. We want to find ec0-shops, online shops that want to work with us so that users will have an opportunity to exchange their eco-points on some gifts.
