Inspiration

Many people venture out of their comfort zone into the world outside every day, sometimes even leaving their hometown behind, to explore new places. But oftentimes, the amenities and facilities we need in these places are unsatisfactory, and sometimes even usable, and not all of us are rich to afford the top notch luxurious versions, but at the same time we aren't aware about the affordable options and often have to adjust with what's available, this is what inspired us to find a solution especially based on the middle income group of India

What it does

This is a communtiy drive project, loosely based on the google maps model, where the data is user generated, users can mark every single amenity they come across in a new city or their own home city, such as bathrooms, restaurants, motels, they can mention the details, rate them, this way, an user who relies on the app can know about the basic facilities near him at any point, especially when the nature calls, so that one can have a hassle & tension free trip without having to worry or humiliate themselves, a perfect app for introverts and people who are shy in general

How we built it

Our app was built using the BOLTS AI platform as the foundation. From there, we extended its capabilities by integrating features like AI-powered voice guidance (with support from ElevenLabs and OpenAI), offline access, emergency service tabs, and multilingual support.

While one of us focused on the entire development process — coding, UI/UX design, integrating data, and adding advanced features — the other handled the creative side, including designing the logo and preparing the pitch.

Challenges we ran into

Integrating voice AI and getting the logo and splash screen animations to work smoothly were definitely tough. Since we built this project in the final five days before the deadline, we faced a lot of stress and even had moments where we felt like giving up. But with the help of BOLTS and some perseverance, we pulled through.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Our biggest accomplishment is building a fully functional, AI-powered, and meaningful app in just four days. Despite the time crunch and technical challenges, we created something we’re genuinely proud of — and we believe it can make a real difference.

What we learned

This project taught us how to think fast, adapt, and build under pressure. We learned how to integrate AI voice guidance, improve user experience with emotional design, and polish the app within tight time constraints. We also understood how important clarity, accessibility, and empathy are when building for travelers in real-world situations.

What's next for Satram

Right now, we are starting based on a national level and only include major cities, but soon we will consist of more places, semi-urban, semi-rural, rural, etc
