Inspiration

We have a lot of ways to prevent and reduce the number of mishappening around us. But nothing for those who have been a victim of the same. Life for them doesn't remain normal and society looks at them with pity. women who are rape victims or acid attack victims are outcasted and are looked down upon. We as team Sathi try to build a community where these people feel at home. Also, there is still a lack of information about topics like menstruation, mental health, and personal hygiene. Sathi provides a solution for that too.

What it does

Sathi provides a platform where people can connect and share their experiences and skills with others who are marginalized by society. Hence creating a society that help each other grow.

  1. chatroom where a person can type in the skill they want to learn and others who have that skill can contact them by pushing onto a help button right next to the help seeking message.
  2. want some info related to any topic you can contact our bot (working based on ml) by prefix "sathi:" in front of your query.
  3. talking of marginalized people we are aware that everyone in the world doesn't have 24X7 access to the internet.don't worry we got you covered. You can sent SMS to the website asking for some info and we will provide you the same via SMS only.
  4. taking of hygiene one of the biggest problem nowadays is to find a hygienic public washroom when you are traveling or hanging out. Sathi provides you an option to search for clean and hygienic restrooms near you

Accomplishments that we're proud of

we got to know about the hackathon just a week before and coming up with an idea and being able to implement it to match our vision that too by connecting online is something that we as a team are proud of.

What we learned

Other than technical stuff and teamwork. One of the major take away for us would be the spirit of not giving up. There were times when we thought that this idea is too big to be implemented in such a small time but we kept each other encouraging throughout.

What's next for Sathi

tracking of the menstrual cycle can help in the detection of a lot of diseases in women in advance. So our next step for this would be to use ml for early detection of disease in women.
