Inspiration

As officers of SASE, we wanted to relay information about our organization in an efficient manner such as sending out upcoming events, membership points, involvement programs and more. We decided that developing an app would allow for members to easily access this information quickly.

What it does

The SASE app will consist of contents such as the link to the membership form, what involvement programs we offer, how to get involved, and also lists upcoming events.

How we built it

We used Figma to start with the design of the app, creating the homepage. Then, we used React Native to code and Xcode to run and simulate the app.

Challenges we ran into

Learning the React Native and Javascript language

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Learning a lot about React Native and app development in a short amount of time

What we learned

We learned the beauty of app development and how creative we can get with it. Not only that but there are tons of resources and libraries which aided in developing our app. We also gained insight about the front-end and the back-end work as a software engineer, as we had to first design the app visually and then code in everything we wanted.

What's next for SASE App

Continued development to brush up the app and ensure all functionality is efficient and user friendly in order to send out to our members officially.
