Over the years I have witnessed the disparity and chaotic workplaces that have led businesses to struggle financially across the globe with the lack of a governance framework as the underlying pillar. In my professional career, I have worked on high-visibility global initiatives that have impacted the entire organization. It is very common in businesses that are changing to grow and reform for the better, e.g., Mergers & Acquisitions, chapter 11 restructuring, cost center optimizations, etc. When processes and KPIs are subpar or broken, the biggest impact is on financial performance and human capital.

What I have repeatedly experienced and witnessed first-hand is a direct correlation between underperforming organizations and employees missing several core aspects of accountability, visibility, and transparency. Executives struggle with getting the right data on time to make the right decisions to fund the right initiatives. These result in a struggle to perform at optimal levels. Getting opportunities to be involved in initiatives one aspires toward is very difficult unless you are in the know. The level of dissatisfaction and opportunities to progress in one’s career tends to be challenging for every employee, especially migrants and minorities due to the lack of visibility on opportunities aside from job postings. There is no way to build one’s skills in another area of interest unless you are either in the know or pursuing job opportunities externally. I have also experienced these first-hand and helped businesses create an operational framework to address and alleviate these challenges.

While building a cohesive workforce is one of the key objectives, building a governance framework is imperative that can enable executives to promote such principles. The challenge is to build a cloud platform that enables leadership teams to not only develop a growth mindset, but to also engage and empower their workforce. Democratizing innovation can help create a more cohesive and innovative workforce. Sapta’s purpose is to provide a streamlined governance framework that enables leaders to focus on their financial metrics as well as organizational sustainable practices (ESG). This creates a decent workplace for all while achieving sustainable accelerated growth.

What It Does

A Single Platform For Strategic Growth Management

Sapta provides businesses with a single pane of glass to manage their strategic planning, orchestration, OKR execution, innovation, and business justification which enables executives to fund the right initiatives. Businesses can leverage a governance framework as their strategic operational engine, which empowers and engages the workforce by creating a shared vision across the organization. This leads to faster data-driven decisions that are repeatable, tangible, and measurable. Sapta democratizes innovation allowing employees to not only innovate but build their skillsets whilst creating new products & services that can generate new revenue streams and markets.

How We Built It

Sapta business architecture has been impeccably researched and has gone through several validation cycles of POCs with executives from a cross-section of businesses. We have built the platform Incrementally and diligently over two years. The enterprise-level platform is cloud-native, enabling businesses to establish a center of excellence out of the box.

Challenges We Ran Into

As a bootstrapped start-up, the runway capital and the working capital in hand have been challenging to balance roadmap priorities against investment in human capital. Subsequently, this has led to limitations in attracting top talent and scaling the startup.

Accomplishments That We're Proud Of

  1. We have an enterprise-ready cloud platform that fuels leadership teams to create a unified approach across their business via a single pane of glass, while democratizing innovation. Correspondingly, it empowers and engages the workforce to create a decent workplace for all and achieve sustainable accelerated growth.
  2. We are now an IBM and Microsoft partner and Sapta is offered as an application on the Microsoft Marketplace. We are becoming Cosell-ready with Microsoft.
  3. Recognition by Startup Grind as a start-up to watch in 2022/2023. Being part of WomeninCloud accelerator 7.0 to become Cosell-ready with hyperscalers.

What We Learned

  1. Organizational changes require leadership buy-in along with a growth mindset to adopt sustainable business practices to achieve Goal 8 of UNBuild2030.
  2. A right governance framework can create sustainable accelerated growth whilst creating a bigger social impact.

What's Next For Sapta: Growth Mindset Creating Cohesive Workplace

  1. Provide access to businesses to leverage AI and IoT for their next-gen management workflow automation.
  2. Plugging into the Microsoft office suite and productivity tools to create a seamless experience and enhance productivity for businesses.
  3. Become a preferred ESG enablement cloud platform.
