Inspiration Enterprise SAP migrations and S/4HANA transitions often suffer from massive testing bottlenecks. Manual creation of test matrices and master test plans from functional specification documents takes hundreds of hours and frequently leaves critical coverage gaps. Seeing offshore quality engineering teams spend valuable time deciphering complex technical specs inspired the creation of SAP Test Intelligence Hub—an automated solution that bridges the gap between design documentation and QA execution. How We Built It The platform was built using a lightweight, high-performance architecture: •UI & Frontend: Built with Streamlit to deliver an intuitive, responsive user interface for document uploads and live processing. •Core Logic & Orchestration: Developed in Python, utilizing custom parsing logic to extract functional requirements from unstructured inputs. •AI Integration: Integrated the Gemini API to analyze complex functional specifications, automatically extract key validation criteria, and structure them into complete test matrices and master test plans. Challenges Faced •Context Preservation: Ensuring the LLM accurately mapped complex SAP business logic without hallucinating missing functional rules required iterative prompt refinement and strict schema enforcement. •Formatting Consistency: Converting raw AI outputs directly into usable, standardized test management templates needed robust post-processing logic in Python.

What We Learned Combining generative AI with specialized QA workflows drastically accelerates enterprise test design. Automating test extraction improves coverage efficiency by an order of magnitude, represented conceptually by:

Efficiency Gain = (Tmanual-Tautomated / Tmanual) *100 where Tautomated << Tmanual, freeing quality engineering teams to focus on high-value hypercare and execution logic.
