SANVURA — Your Private Sanctuary
Relationships live in thousands of small moments: a message that makes you smile, a memory you never want to lose, an apology after an argument, a quiet wish for the future.
But most digital relationship experiences are built around messaging, feeds, notifications, or generic productivity tools. We wanted to build something different.
SANVURA is a private relationship operating system for two people — a digital sanctuary designed around the relationship itself.
The idea
The core question behind SANVURA was simple:
What if technology could help couples care for their relationship, instead of simply helping them communicate?
SANVURA creates a private shared world where couples can express affection, preserve memories, navigate difficult moments, and build a future together.
The experience is intentionally designed to feel more like entering a private retreat than opening another productivity app.
Every interaction has a purpose: helping two people feel closer.
What we built
SANVURA brings relationship moments into one shared sanctuary.
Couples can send small gestures of affection such as Warm Hugs and Sweet Kisses, leave meaningful messages through the Appreciation Jar, preserve important moments inside their Memory Vault, and grow a shared Love Tree and Garden over time.
For difficult moments, Fight Mode provides a calmer, structured path through conflict. Instead of encouraging rapid-fire messaging when emotions are high, it guides the couple through pausing, understanding, repairing, and reconnecting.
SANVURA also turns private thoughts into intentional moments through sealed love notes and timed deliveries, allowing affection to arrive when it is least expected.
The goal is not to give couples more things to do.
The goal is to make the things that already matter feel more meaningful.
Designed as a sanctuary
We deliberately avoided the visual language of dashboards and conventional social applications.
SANVURA uses a cinematic, intimate visual system built around deep burgundy, warm gold, ivory, and near-black tones. Interactions are designed to feel soft, deliberate, and personal.
The home experience is not a list of utilities.
It is a shared world.
Built for two
SANVURA is fundamentally private and relationship-focused.
The architecture is designed around a paired experience rather than a public social graph. The product combines authentication, couple pairing, shared state, private memories, notifications, subscriptions, and native mobile capabilities into one experience.
The project also includes:
- Firebase authentication and cloud infrastructure
- Native iOS integration through Capacitor
- RevenueCat for premium subscription management
- OneSignal for meaningful relationship reminders and re-engagement
- Shared couple state and recovery flows
- An iOS-native production build tested on physical hardware
What we learned
The biggest lesson was that building a relationship product is not primarily about adding features.
It is about designing emotional moments.
A feature can technically work and still feel completely wrong if the interaction is too fast, too noisy, or too similar to an ordinary app.
We learned to treat animation, pacing, typography, sound, transitions, and even empty space as part of the product experience.
We also learned how much complexity exists behind a seemingly simple mobile experience — from authentication and secure data handling to native iOS configuration, push notifications, subscriptions, app signing, and App Store requirements.
The hardest parts
One of the biggest challenges was taking a web-based prototype and turning it into a real mobile application.
We worked through native iOS authentication, Firebase configuration, push notification infrastructure, RevenueCat subscription integration, Apple signing and provisioning, deep-link considerations, and device testing.
Another challenge was maintaining the SANVURA experience while solving technical problems. It was easy to make something functional. It was much harder to make it still feel like SANVURA.
That became one of our core principles:
Technology should disappear behind the experience.
Why SANVURA exists
People already have messaging apps, photo libraries, calendars, social networks, and productivity tools.
What they often don't have is a private digital space intentionally designed for the relationship itself.
SANVURA is our attempt to create that space.
A place where two people can say:
This is ours.
And come back to it.
