Inspiration
As students, we often struggle to balance assignments, exams, coding practice, and daily schedules. We wanted to create an AI-powered assistant that acts as a personal academic companion, helping students stay organized and learn more effectively.
Our goal was to build an intelligent AI agent that reduces the time spent searching for information and increases the time spent learning.
What it does
CampusMate AI is an intelligent AI agent that helps students learn, organize, and succeed.
It can:
Answer academic questions using AI.
Generate personalized study plans.
Organize assignments and reminders.
Summarize study notes into easy-to-understand points.
Assist with programming and debugging.
Provide quick explanations for difficult concepts.
Improve student productivity through intelligent task management.
How we built it
We built CampusMate AI using modern AI and web technologies.
Frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
AI Model: Large Language Model (LLM)
Backend: Python/Node.js (API integration)
Cloud Platform: Vultr Cloud
Version Control: Git & GitHub
The AI agent processes user requests, understands the context, and generates accurate responses to help students complete their academic tasks efficiently.
Challenges we ran into

Managing API integration and ensuring smooth communication between the frontend and AI services.
