What it does

In Santa Down, Santa crashes in the arctic in a freak snowstorm. You have to manage warmth, gather gear from fallen presents, and take down hostile snowmen to get Santa to safety in one of two ways.

How we built it

The game was coded in Godot, with sprites made in Aseprite.

Challenges we ran into

Several features had to be cut due to time constraints (including a third ending with the task of saving lost reindeer, greater enemy variety, additional sprites/animations, blizzard nights that sapped fires faster, a time limit, and audio). In addition, certain mechanics and animations were finicky to get right and time constraints reduced the quality of some images.
