Inspiration

SangRakshak was inspired by the urgent, ongoing needs of Thalassemia patients in India who rely on frequent blood transfusions for survival. Through research and discussions, we identified gaps in the current healthcare system—particularly in blood donor availability, patient-doctor coordination, and personalized care education. The idea emerged from combining AI technology with empathy-driven design to build something beyond just a blood donation app—a smart, secure support network.

What it does

SangRakshak connects Thalassemia patients with real-time available donors, predicts future donor availability using AI models, and enables secure interaction between patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals. It also delivers customized, AI-curated education and reminders to patients for better treatment compliance. The platform ensures data privacy while integrating seamlessly with existing government systems like e-RaktKosh and Blood Warriors’ Blood Bridge.
