What it does## Inspiration
We wanted to push the limits of cinematic UI and AI creativity — what would it look like to design a movie trailer experience that feels alive in the browser?
What We Built
This is Sandstorm® — a single-shot Bolt app that generates a sci-fi movie landing page with a looping cinematic background, bold hero text, and a minimalist UI. The visuals were generated in MidJourney, then composed into an immersive frontend using Tailwind, Shadcn UI, and Vite.
What We Learned
Crafting a full experience in one prompt forced us to think in layers: video, layout, typography, and interactivity all had to align perfectly in one take. We also learned how Bolt handles complex asset embedding and video overlays without extra prompting.
Challenges
- Getting video to autoplay consistently across browsers
- Designing within Bolt’s one-shot constraint — no second prompts
- Keeping the layout responsive while preserving dramatic spacing and typography
The result? A cinematic site that feels like the intro to a blockbuster — generated and deployed in one clean sweep.
