Inspiration
Travel planning is still fragmented across multiple apps. People use one app to discover places, another to create itineraries, separate notes to coordinate with friends, and spreadsheets or expense apps to track spending. We wanted to simplify that experience.
Sanchariq started with a simple idea: what if one intelligent travel companion could help you from the moment you start thinking about a trip until the journey is complete?
What it does
Sanchariq is an AI powered travel companion that brings trip planning and management into one place.
Users can create trips, build and manage itineraries, discover places to visit, organize activities, collaborate with friends or family, and keep track of travel expenses.
AI helps make the planning process easier by reducing the amount of manual research required and helping travelers turn an idea into a structured trip plan.
The goal is simple: spend less time managing a trip and more time enjoying it.
How we built it
We built Sanchariq around a mobile first experience with simplicity as the main design principle.
Instead of adding every possible travel feature, we focused on the core things travelers repeatedly need: trip planning, itineraries, discovery, collaboration, and expense management.
AI is integrated into the experience to assist with planning and recommendations, while the rest of the product is designed to keep trip information structured and easy to access throughout the journey.
A major focus during development was making these different features feel like one connected experience rather than a collection of separate tools.
Challenges we ran into
One of the biggest challenges was deciding how much information to show without making the application overwhelming.
Travel planning can become complex very quickly. A single trip can contain destinations, hotels, activities, transportation, expenses, notes, and multiple travelers. Bringing all of this together while keeping the interface simple required constant iteration.
Another challenge was making AI genuinely useful rather than adding it simply because AI is popular. We focused on areas where it can reduce research and planning effort while still allowing travelers to remain in control of their trip.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The biggest accomplishment is turning the idea into a complete travel companion that people can actually use for real trips.
We are particularly proud of bringing AI planning, itinerary management, destination discovery, collaborative travel planning, and expense tracking together in a single experience.
We are also proud that Sanchariq continues to remain focused on its original goal: making travel planning simpler rather than adding complexity.
What we learned
Building Sanchariq taught us that travel is highly personal.
Two people visiting the same destination may want completely different experiences, budgets, schedules, and activities. A good travel product therefore cannot simply provide a generic itinerary. It needs to understand context and allow travelers to easily customize their plans.
We also learned that AI works best when it assists the traveler instead of trying to make every decision for them.
The most valuable experience is a combination of intelligent recommendations, structured planning tools, and complete user control.
What's next for Sanchariq - Travel Companion
Our vision is to make Sanchariq a companion that stays with travelers throughout the complete journey.
We want to make AI planning more personalized, improve destination and activity discovery, make group travel collaboration easier, and continue simplifying how travelers organize everything related to a trip.
Over time, we want Sanchariq to understand how each person likes to travel and become a truly personal travel companion that can help them discover, plan, organize, and experience their next journey.
