Inspiration

We want to build a game that celebrates AI and allows us to better understand the capabilities of AI to the general public. Through this game, we hope the general public has less reservations about AI.

What it does

SamurAI is a family game where you compete to see who can think like a machine. Describe provided pictures or your own photos in words and earn points for every answer that matches Microsoft Azure's AI output.

How I built it

We used Microsoft Azure for the AI output, and expressJS, vueJS, axios for the front and back-end web application. We used splashbase for the photos and firebase to store user uploaded photos.

Challenges I ran into

The lack of time posed as a real challenge as we were also over ambitious initially and had to learn how to deliver a working product within the short time frame provided.

What's next for SamurAI

Better UI, more functions (such as being able to play on different phones)!
